About:Letter To Debbie Cochran - Area Director - Todd Akin
    It:Hi Debbie,

Thank you for coming to the Pillar in the Valley Town Hall last night. We spoke briefly after the meeting, and you asked that I submit my question via e-mail.

Our country is seriously on the wrong track, and the free-fall of the dollar is just a symptom of the problem. It's become clear that the Federal Government is out of control, unresponsive, and corrupt. And, for the record, I'm more upset with the Republican representation than I am the Democrats -- I expect socialism from the Democrats.

Assuming the American people honor the Republicans by voting them back into a majority position in the Congress, it would be in the belief that the Republican Party has realized the error of its ways and return to its conservative roots. In recent years, we've had the choice between Democrat and Democrat-Lite. And, the Tea Party movement, which continues to gain steam, is based FIRST on Fiscal Responsibility

With those thoughts, my request is that Mr. Akin start the process to amend the Constitution to return it to its more perfect form as originally intended:
    • Repeal portions of the 14th amendment that allow infants born on American soil to immediately become citizens when their parents are not.
    • Repeal the 16th Amendment and disband the IRS
    • Repeal the 17th Amendment and allow the State Legislatures to again choose Senators
    • Add a 28th amendment that:
      • Requires a balanced budget that reduces debt by $500 billion per year and saves $100 billion per year for Emergency.
      • Requires 7/8 of the Representatives and Senators to declare a State of Emergency before the Federal Government may use deficit Spending.
      • Provides for all government revenues (taxes, fees, charges) at all levels of government (local, state, federal) to be generated from a Consumption Tax
        • Federal: 23% reduced by 1/2 percent per year until 20% with a maximum collection amount of $3 Trillion
        • State: 5%
        • Local: 1%
      • Provides for a Tax Collection Authority that collects the Consumption Tax from companies removing that yearly Tax Filing responsibility from the American people
      • Requires all prices quoted to be the total price charged when the transaction is executed (includes all shipping, processing, handling, initiation fees, etc)
        • If they advertise a $99 plane ticket, I don't have to give them $120 to fly.
        • If they advertise a 99-cent Whopper, I only need a $1.00 bill to pay for it.

Now, if everyone in Washington, DC (and state / local level) is so smart, they'll figure out how to organize the redistribution of 29% of my wealth (or lack thereof) in a manner that provides for the most benefit of what the levels of government are allowed to do.

And, finally, the people are back in control of our great country

    Thank You
